Chess In Schools

I am a qualified tutor for CSC and currently work at Wrington Primary School

Chess in Schools and Communities (CSC) is a UK charity which aims to improve children’s educational outcomes and foster their social development by introducing them to the game of chess. We teach chess in over 300 schools whilst supporting the game in 400 more, and organise a world-leading chess event, the London Chess Classic. They work exclusively in the state sector, giving every child the chance to realise their full potential.

Children are taught by one of their trained chess tutors, who all have Enhanced DBS clearance. Schools receive all the necessary chess sets, teaching and learning resources, and free entry to special events at the London Chess Classic. They provide a range of other support to schools, including free chess sets, tutor training and use of a unique curriculum. They also run a growing network of chess clubs in libraries, junior centres and even prisons.
